Would a presumptively powered M1 Ultra Mac Pro - along with a speedier macMini - not be a better fit for WWDC than the entry-level consumer models grabbing the limelight? And would you not want to complete the M1 lineup before moving to M2? At some point, the biggest, baddest, meanest Mac is going to need both the update and a bit of a PR push from a proud Apple. Apple has stated its full line-up of Mac machines will be switched over to the ARM-based Apple Silicon by the end of the year, and the Mac Pro is conspicuous in its Intel-ness.
